“Stealing from the Dead, Ideas and How We Get Them”

Peggy Gaffney: Peggy has taken her experience as a knitting designer and as a longtime dog breeder to create  a romantic suspense mystery series featuring designer and breeder, Kate Killoy. The first book in the series is FASHION GOES TO THE DOGS, the second is PUPPY PURSUIT. A third title in the series, NATIONAL SECURITY, will be out in early 2017.

Jane Haertel: As Susannah Hardy, Jane writes the Greek to Me culinary mysteries set in the Thousand Islands region of New York State. As Sadie Hartwell, she writes the Tangled Web Mysteries. She gets to cook, play with yarn, and make up stories all day, and wishes everyone had a job as much fun as hers.

Edith Maxwell: Agatha-nominated and Amazon bestselling author Edith Maxwell writes the Local Foods Mystery series from Kensington Publishing. Murder Most Fowl releases in May, 2016. As Maddie Day, Edith writes the Country Store Mysteries set in southern Indiana. Grilled for Murder released in May, 2016. Edith writes the historical Quaker Midwife Mysteries, as well, in which Quaker midwife Rose Carroll solves mysteries in 1888 Massachusetts. Midnight Ink released Delivering the Truth in April, 2016. Bluffing is Murder, the second mystery featuring Quaker linguistics professor Lauren Rousseau, was published under Edith Maxwell’s pseudonym Tace Baker (Barking Rain Press, 2014).

It will be held on Saturday, October 29 at 1 PM at the Goshen Public Library, 42B North Street, Goshen, CT 06756 as part of a celebration of Goshen Public Library winning a grant from Sisters in Crime.
